Tragic Kingdom (redux)

A while ago, we brought up the case of one Anaheim property owner who had bitten off more than they could chew. Fast forward two and a half months, and the carnage continues within the city limits.

417 S Bella Vista Street, Anaheim, Calif., 92804
Size: 4 beds, 2 baths, 1,811 sq ft (built in 1958)
MLS: P590981 (18 days on Redfin)
Current asking price: $570,000
Asking price/sq ft: $315
Purchase price: $649,000
Purchase date: 3/30/2006
ZipRealty price track: No reductions
Other info: Stories: 1
Type: Single Family Residence
County: Orange
Neighborhood: Anaheim East of Harbor
From listing: Nice one story home, located in quiet inside tract. Property is a short sale.

Short and to the point. I can respect the brevity of the listing description. I won't even complain that there is only one picture showing up in Redfin and ZipRealty at the moment.

Doesn't look like this house is going to be appreciating again any time soon...BUT...close enough for your kids to walk to Western High. Think how much money you can save since they won't have to take the bus!

Less than one year and five months of ownership in this case equals a $113,200 loss assuming sale at this price minus 6 percent selling costs. It also would mean a mere 12 percent decline in value for this property since March, 2006.
